In June 2016 Tatty and I started work on a show about body image. That summer we spent a week in her flat with two amazing actresses, the four of us throwing ideas around about what it meant to be a young woman taking up space in a world that isn’t meant for you. At the end of that week Tatty went off to try and write the show and we made plans to do another development week at some point down the line. That point got pushed back further and further until, eventually, it was summer again, a year later. VAULT Festival 2019 Recommendations

This time last year, we were only just starting to get Rory’s adventure underway and beginning rehearsals for ‘A Hundred Words for Snow’ at VAULT Festival. It goes without saying that the opportunities that VAULT Festival gave us have done wonders for the show, and really allowed us to get the show off the ground.

This year, we’re giving VAULT a miss (well, a few of the team are bringing some shows but more about that later…). However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t plenty of shows that you should be seeing and supporting. VAULT nurtures some of the best emerging artists and fills underground tunnels with supportive, creative energy – just because Rory isn’t there, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go on your own little theatre adventure.Read More
